1. Document what your project actually is
Add a bit about what your project actually is to your repo. Stuff like these matter more than you think:
- Why did you build it? Your motivation and story.
- A short description of what your project actually does
- A brief of how it all fits together. Stuff like photos, wiring diagrams, PCBs etc. of your design.
2. Understandable and organised.
Make all files and resources easily accessible and organised. It should be customizable. (Include all source files & step files!)
When your project is nothing but a dump of files and two sentences for a README, its hard for others to recognize your work, to learn from it. It’s not real. It only lives on in your tiny corner of this earth.
3. Public, and online.
Put it on a public repository on any git hosting service!
You can use GitHub, GitLab, CodeBerg, Nest Git, or even your own instance!
This isn't just a Twisted or Hack Club thing.
Here are some well shipped projects that are in the real world outside of Hack Club. Notice how they all have documentation, instructions, and are public for anyone to see and learn from!
